A Day in the Life of Eating For Your Period

Figuring out what to eat during your period can be exhausting. i want chips + chocolate, I want a green smoothie to top it off and maybe a salad that hits every taste bud and leaves me feeling satisfied and nourished. Or do I really just want more chocolate?

as our bodies do their thang and work their powerful magic, it's up to us to quite literally feed them to ensure they're running happily. We've got you covered. Here is what a full day of eating for your period looks like when we take hormone balancing, nutrition + overall wellness into mind.

It's a piece of cake (or 4. No judgements here).


wake up and take:
1 ginger pill
1 turmeric pill
warm water with lemon

Breakfast:
Smoothie with // 
spinach (B1)
cinnamon ( 6 )
banana (magnesium)
chocolate protein powder
cacao (magnesium)
avocado (boron, magnesium)
almond butter (boron)
flax seeds (omega-3) 
almond milk (boron)

supplements with breakfast:
Magnesium
multi-complex B vitamin
2 omega-3 capsules
probiotic

Snack:
turmeric milk latte with cinnamon, ginger and honey and a square of 80% or darker dark chocolate (decrease inflammation and pain management - ( 6 , 2 , 12 )


lunch:
Salad with//
Kale, Arugula, kidney beans (boron), sautéed shiitake mushrooms
sweet potato, Kraut, olives + an egg on top

With dressing:
2 tbsp olive oil
juice of one lemon
Salt
Pepper
Garlic
whole grain mustard
Rosemary
1 tbsp of honey

snack: celery with peanut butter (boron) and raisins (boron) ( 11 )

dinner:
grilled salmon with //
(omega-3s), roasted fennel ( 5 ) dusted with ginger ( 2 ), acorn squash (vitamin B1 - ( 8 )) roasted with cinnamon ( 6 ), asparagus (B1)

supplements with dinner: 1 turmeric capsule and 1 ginger capsule

dessert: Moon Cycle Bakery’s chocolate cup with ginger and honey + raspberry black bean brownies with primrose

drink: water, kombucha, passionfruit tea, decaf tea
